Responsibilities
- Use the production schedule to determine the order of operations.
- Use computer software to prepare the equipment for use.
- Load paper into printers and plotters for output.
- Know and perform the necessary commands to begin operations.
- Observe all equipment and troubleshoot any error messages, malfunctions or halts in production by entering commands.
- Maintain smooth operations and reload paper, making adjustments to the process as necessary and notifying a supervisor if additional resources are needed.
- Complete production logs in order to record problems and actions taken.
- Resolve user questions and requests.
- Take preventative care of equipment including testing and maintenance.
- Follow all manufacturer’s instructions and call for repairs if necessary.
- Maintain equipment and supply inventories by checking stock, anticipate supply needs, place and expedite equipment orders and confirm receipt of supplies.
Requirements
- Excellent computer knowledge required.
- Good typing skill required.
- Good communication skill needed.
